For this project we will be looking at creating an Introduction to a feature film. We will be focusing on the dramatic elements which have been created by camera techniques, pace and audio elements/techniques. Below you will see a short that I have edited together from old footage collection.
At the start of this project we found that the most difficult element was actually coming up with an original idea that people wanted to see. After spending a weekend watching The Blair Witch Project (Dir. Daniel Myrick and Eduardo Sanchez - 1999) and Cannibal Holocaust (Dir. Ruggero Deodato 1980), Ciaran (Director) came up with a story idea that incorporated the use of found footage (sourced from my original DV tapes above). We decided to create a horror-like piece, and used the camera movements to create a sense of unease during the filming.
Ciaran's concept for the project incorporated a much used cliche of a video (or in this case the found footage), which has been passed around the Internet as a viral video. The found footage, shows a group of film students who have uncovered the myth of a local cult.
This would mean Costumes....
